Terms and Conditions of Beds & Herts Fun
- All our Inflatables are designed for use by children up to the age of 12 and 65kg (Not applicable to our range of adult castles)
- Beds & Herts Fun will not be responsible for any injuries caused on hire unless it’s deemed that our item was faulty or not installed correctly.
- We require all our cables to be plugged into a mains supply (household plug socket in the wall), it’s the customers responsibility to ensure our power requirements are met. If you plug into another extension lead in your house/premises then we will not be held responsible for any accidents, faults, damage or disappointment this may incur. Any damage to our items will be charged at full repair or replacement costs.
- No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the Inflatable.
- All shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges must be removed before using Inflatables.
- No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers, glitter, confetti or silly string to be used either on or near the Inflatable. Failure to adhere will result in a cleaning charge of £100 per item. If the above stains can’t be removed with our cleaning products then the hirer will be liable for repair or replacement costs.
- Please don’t stick/attach anything to our items this includes balloons. The adhesive affects the artwork and material. Replacement costs will be issued if not adhered to.
- It is the hirer's reasonability to ensure the castle fits in their required space stated on each item on our website. If for what ever reason your inflatable does not fit in your venue or garden you will be still responsible for the outstanding balance of your hire amount.
- Any damage to our Inflatables or Equipment will incur charges to repair at the hirers cost by our chosen approved repairer. If the item is beyond repair or the quality can’t be restored to a safe standard the hirer will be responsible for the full cost of replacing the item.
- BALL POOL HIRES: Please ensure all balls are back in the pool ready for collection, if they are scattered everywhere you will be charged £20. This ensures we can run on schedule to other customers.
- FOOTBALLS: Please ensure all footballs are at the inflatable ready for collection. Failure to do so will result in your Ball deposit being forfeited.
- Under no circumstances is our item to be sub hired.
- If our item goes missing the hirer is responsible for full costs of replacement for all equipment.
- No smoking or barbecues near Inflatables at any time.
- Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is dangerous and must not be allowed at any time, some of our inflatables are designed to have low walls for supervision purposes, on these types of inflatables this rule is exceptionally important, especially when the castle is erected on hard surfaces.
- A responsible adult must supervise each Inflatable at all times, If not adhered to and in the event an accident does occur you may be liable under your own insurance.
- Always ensure that the Inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age, size and stature of children using it, these numbers can be found printed on the front step of the inflatable. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time as this can only lead to accidents.
- Ensure that children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
- Please allow at least 30 mins before and after your booking time for us to arrive on site and begin setting up or packing down, 45 minutes for 3 items and 60 minutes for 4 items. Events we require flexible timings as this usually involves larger items which require more preparation.
- Do not allow anyone to be on the Inflatable during inflation or deflation as this can be extremely dangerous.
- If the Inflatable has no adequate supervision available, please ensure that all children are well away from the castle and that the fan is switched off at the mains, never walk away from a bouncy castle until it has fully deflated as small children can be caught up inside, this can lead to suffocation.
- Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off only.
- Ensure that no one with a history of back or neck problems or who suffers from a heart complaint uses the Inflatable or anyone who is feeling unwell or suffering the effects of alcohol or drugs & Pregnant women may not use any equipment at anytime, In the event that someone is injured, Remove all other children from the unit as safely & as smoothly as possible and DO NOT move the individual, leave the inflatable switched on and dial 999 immediately for advise.
- Ensure that Children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately.
- Socks must be worn at all times when using the Inflatable
- Long sleeve clothing is advisable to stop exposed skin causing friction burns/injuries from our items especially products with slides.
- Ensure that an area of 6 feet (2 meters) around the unit is completely clear and ensure the area in which the castle is to be erected is completely swept of debris & that all washing lines, children’s toys and especially Dog droppings, before our arrival.
- The Inflatable should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. If no shower cover is fitted, and, in the event of rain, the unit should not be used.

In the event of persistent or heavy rain, we require that the inflatable be LEFT SWITCHED ON, so the base does not fill up with water. Once this has passed, you will see bubbling coming through the seams this is perfectly normal it can either be left to dry naturally or with a towel. The Castle needs to be left inflated for the duration of your event. If you switch the inflatable off in the event of rain you will be charged £100 as this will now have to be fully dried out immediately for many hours.
- All overnight hires must have the item switched on at least 2 hours before we arrive to let it dry out from rain or drop in temperature. Failure to do so will incur a £100 drying out charge.
- Late collections are 7pm and charged at £30. If you require it later than this then you’ll need to select the overnight option which is collected the following morning.
- All outdoor collections will start being collected from 5pm as standard or earlier if requested.
- We are not allowed to set up a bouncy castle if the wind speeds are over 24mph due to health and safety this included (gust speeds) which people usually think don’t apply. We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to these circumstances and deposits will be refunded or moved to another date of your choice.
- Please do not move any Inflatable once we have set up or interfere with any anchor points. If any anchor stakes become dislodged please contact us immediately. If you interfere or move our set up you will now be liable under your own insurance and we will not accept responsibility for any accidents.
- In the event that the fan stops working, ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately to avoid suffocation. The most common faults are the fan tipping over or the air vents becoming obstructed by leafs, debris & carrier bags etc, if this is the case, then please remove the obstruction. If the problem persists, then please call us immediately on 07549788829.
- All booking fees are strictly non refundable please see cancellations and the weather policy.
- All outstanding balances have to be settled before setup.
- All delivery and collection times are approximate unless hall hire.
- Please ensure all timings and addresses are correct on your booking form. If for whatever reason we can not access your venue at the time you have provided we may have to leave without setting up your equipment and this will affect your hire. This is to ensure we do not put another persons hire time into jeopardy due complications with your access timings. It is down to the customer to ensure all access timings are correct.
- Please ensure there is parking on site for a team member to setup.
- Any parking charges and fines are down to the customer to pay if you can’t provide suitable parking. If no parking is available at your house or venue we may look to cancel the booking and deposits will be non refundable.
- Beds & Herts Fun has a 99.9% success rate when it comes to setup times and collections. However we may come across issues with Traffic, Accidents & Road Closures. Beds & Herts Fun cannot be held liable for delays incurred due to circumstances beyond our control. If we run across any problems on the day you will be informed immediately by one of our team members.
- Beds & Herts Fun will not accept lateness from our Team Members unless out of their control.
- All our Team Members are to arrive at your event and introduce themselves to the hirer or point of contact.
- All our Team Members are instructed to be polite to the hirer, guests and any people they come in contact with.
- We will not tolerate rudeness from any hirer or guests towards any or our Team Members and will cancel the booking with immediate effect. We will not work along side the customer or delivery address again in the future.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY
1. RAIN RELATED CANCELLATIONS
Beds & Herts Fun will only cancel if the wind speeds exceed the legal limit or heavy rain is predicted all day. In the event of light rain or scattered showers then we will expect the booking to go ahead.
However if it’s raining on your date and you don’t want to proceed you can use your 20% booking fee/deposit to reschedule to another date within 6 months subject to availability but we won’t refund this. We must be told by 10pm the night before at the very latest via email to info@bedshertsfun.com.
Cancellations after this time will result in additional fees and no option to reschedule using the original deposit.
Refunds are not accepted as you have reserved an item, time slot and space on the van that could have been hired by another customer for an indoor venue on your date. The only time a refund is issued is if Beds & Herts Fun cancel the booking.
In the event of us having to cancel your booking due to adverse or severe weather, your booking fee, and any balance if paid, will be fully refunded within 7 working days.
2. REARRANGEMENTS
If you need to rearrange, the booking fees can be transferred to any other date within 6 months of original hire date if a minimum of 28 days notice has been given. We will not rearrange if you cancel within 28 days of your event date. We will also not allow rearrangements if this is the second time you've cancelled.
3. CANCELLATIONS (THIS ALSO INCLUDES REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF ITEMS ON A BOOKING OR REMOVING MULTI DAY HIRES)
Bookings upto £399...
Cancellations prior to 28 days before the hire date will not be refunded but can use their booking fee to reschedule to another date within 6 months of the hire date.
Cancellations within 28 days and up to 7 days of the hire date will lose their booking fee and cannot use this to reschedule.
Cancellations within 7 days of the hire date are subject to a 25% charge of the total hire charge or per item cancelled. This is to cover costs already laid out for your booking such as admin fees, the reserving of the equipment for your event which is unlikely to get hired out now and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of whether your event goes ahead or not.
Cancellations within 72 hours of the hire date are subject to a 50% charge of the total hire charge or per item cancelled. This is to cover costs already laid out for your booking such as admin fees, the reserving of the equipment for your event which is highly unlikely to get hired out now, the testing and organising of your entertainment, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of whether your event goes ahead or not.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the delivery time right up to delivery will be subject to 100% charge of the total hire charge or per item cancelled. This is to cover costs already laid out for your booking such as admin fees, reserving the equipment for your event, the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of whether your event goes ahead or not.
This includes cancelling due to the equipment not fitting - All sizes, dimensions & ground types are clearly displayed on our website. Should we arrive on the day and the items not fit in your chosen venue or event area or the ground be deemed unsuitable, your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking mentioned above. No exceptions. We will try our best to provide an alternative or accommodate the relocation of the entertainment, however, our event staff will only have a finite amount of time allocated to your booking and must keep a tight schedule in order not disrupt other bookings on that day. All payments made will be treated as a booking fee and as such, non refundable.
Bookings of £400 and over...
Unfortunately all orders over the value of £400 are subject to a 50% cancellation fee regardless of when the order or cancellation is made due to the large amount of preparation and event management that will have taken place already that must be recovered. This also includes reducing the amount of items on your order and each item will need to be paid a total of 50% of its individual listed value regardless if you have them or not. Should your order be cancelled within 24 hours of your event then your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of whether your event goes ahead or not. This is reduced to 50% if paid within 7 days. This also includes reducing the amount of items on your order and each item will need to be paid for in full regardless if you have them or not. All payments made will be treated as a booking fee and as such, non refundable.
By ticking our Terms and Conditions on the booking form you agree to Hire the Equipment listed below which is subject to the terms and conditions. All equipment will be returned in the same condition as at the start of hire.
